Amara Minott
Intake Coordinator, MHC at Mind The Healing Therapy
Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming. Reaching out takes courage — and that first connection truly matters.
Amara is a counselor-in-training at Mind The Healing, where she is committed to creating a space that feels warm, affirming, and grounded from the very first interaction. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, or life transitions, she approaches each client with care, curiosity, and deep respect for your lived experience.
As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student, Amara brings a thoughtful, therapeutic lens to her work. She integrates empathy, active listening, and culturally responsive care into every interaction, recognizing that healing is not one-size-fits-all. She is especially passionate about supporting individuals from diverse and historically underserved communities, including Black men and women and people of color who may be navigating systemic challenges, generational trauma, and the complexities of identity.
Amara believes that therapy is not only about addressing symptoms, but about being seen, understood, and supported in a way that honors your full story. She strives to create a space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, build insight, and move toward meaningful, sustainable change.
She understands that the decision to begin therapy can come with uncertainty, and she meets that moment with patience, compassion, and clarity. From your first point of contact through ongoing care, Amara is dedicated to making the process feel seamless, respectful, and aligned with your needs.
Outside of her clinical work, Amara enjoys hosting gatherings and intentionally creating spaces that foster connection, community, and a sense of belonging — values she carries into her work with every client.
